So far , I have not been finding it too difficult with the german layout even though I do not know german. I usually guess the words Smile or use altavista's babelfish to translate the page.

I started learning a bit of german during my dog training - training like "Dank fur your friendlushkit" Ätsch

I found your forum by searching for "Trax 4x4" in google. Almost all the websites that talk about this vehicle seem to be german. So finally I gathered the courage to join even though I do not know german.

I have collected as much information as possible about the vehicle and compiled it in my website.

If you want to see some videos of my trax in action you can go to

www.force4x4.com/personalvideo and go to the bottom

I am also an ameteur wild life photographer. If you want to see some pictures of tigers in the wild you can go to

www.force4x4.com/gallery

Also I have some good contacts with the people in the Trax company. If anyone needs any contacts or help with getting spare parts, I will try to help.

Ram,
Thank you for your offer to be a source for spare parts for the Trax. Unfortunately we had only one registered user in our community who owned a Trax, but he sold the car a while ago due to unreasonable high annual motor vehicles tax here in Germany. So at the moment here is nobody anymore who runs a Trax. Maybe in the future someone will join again our forum with a Trax.

Your short CV reads interesting. So you lived already in the States and Australia. At which places in these countries did you stay and where do you live in India today?

So you have been travelling around the world for a while.

My favourite is Sydney. The most beautiful city I have ever visited.

Chennai and Bangalore are also big cities with millions of habitants, so how do you feel back home in India after being abroad?

Do you join off-road events in India or do you enjoy this with friends?

Germany is a very crowded country in respect of off-road opportunities. Therefore we have only very limited areas were we can play with our "toys". I guess you have plenty more opportunities in India.

yes I liked sydney , but I loved Ballarat more, because it is a very small calm town with lots of wild life.

I love to go into the jungle and spend a few days on top of trees photographing animals and just being in a calm place... not many people want to follow me 15-30 Km inside the jungle Ätsch

When you are going deep inside the jungle there is no room for heroism as a mistake or a breakdown can be very costly and dangerous. You have to be very delibrate, careful and conservative. Even if there is a flat tire, you have to constantly watch over your shoulders for bears/elephants etc before you change the tire.

So 4 Wheel driving inside the jungle is very calculated, conservative and cautious.

Worser is when you are too noisy and the animal runs away ...so I do not have many companions. I take a few close friends along with me for short trips... Long trips I do myself.

After being away from India for such a long time , I feel good about being closer to my family. But I miss the economic opportunities that US has to offer. All in all I am enjoying my stay in India. Smile

As far as the terrain is concerned, it is extremely slippery clay .... it is almost like chaiis grease.

If you go to www.force4x4.com/personal video you will be able to see the kind of terrain I drive in.
