Land Rover Headquarters, Warwickshire, 30 September 2005 – A unique specification 35th Anniversary Limited Edition Rover goes on sale this month in celebration of 35 years of the legendary marque.
The V8 Supercharged 35th Anniversary Rover is equipped to Vogue SE specification and comes complete with a harman/kardon 'Logic 7' sound system, 7" touch-screen navigation with 4x4 information, rear-screen entertainment with DVD, personal telephone integration system, colour rear-view camera, front and rear Park Distance Control, and park heating with timer and remote control as standard.
Bespoke Limited Edition features include 'Anniversary Claret' metallic paintwork, carmen red leather interior and dual-toned steering in the finest hand-picked Windsor leather, extended burr walnut trim and Limited Edition claret deep-pile sheepskin foot rugs.
The Rover was conceived in the mid 1960s when Land Rover began to develop a vehicle that would combine saloon car levels of performance, handling, ride comfort and refinement with all the ruggedness and off-road ability of the original. The 'tough luxury' Rover was the result and made its world debut at the London Motor Show in June 1970 to immediate acclaim. The Rover for 2006 remains the flagship vehicle for the Land Rover brand and enjoys peerless luxury together with class-leading off-road technology.
The first glimpse of the 35th Anniversary Rover can be caught whilst it leads the cavalcade of The South London and Surrey Land Rover Club London to Brighton Land Rover Run from Crystal Palace Park in London to Madeira Drive in Brighton, on Sunday 2 October.
A mere 35 Limited Editions are on sale now exclusively to the UK priced at £85,000 on the road. Please contact you local Land Rover dealership or visit www.landrover.co.uk for further information.
